Raidis Estate is located in Penola, in the Coonawarra wine region of South Australia Limestone Coast.
Raidis Estate has two separate vineyards, both in the Coonawarra wine region. The ‘House Block' is an eight acre Cabernet Sauvignon planting. The ‘Southern Block' is a 35 acre planting and home to the Riesling from which ‘The Kid' is produced, and other plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris.
Sustainable practices include non irrigation of Cabernet Sauvignon and minimal Summer watering of our Riesling. The vineyards are hand pruned in an arch cane, which allows more air-flow throughout the vineyard, resulting in less opportunity for disease, which allows us to spray our vines significantly less than other wineries.
