Viking Wines is one of the smaller enterprises in the heart of Marananga in the Barossa Valley wine region of South Australia. The estate is one of the very few old and biodynamic dry-grown vineyards left in the Barossa Valley.
Wines extracted from such grapes produce the full flavour of a true Barossa red, reflecting the distinctive characters of the rich soil and sun-drenched vineyards of the pristine area of Marananga.
Vinified by the new generation, the fruit is hand-picked, open fermented, gently basket pressed, followed by maturation in American and French Oak, slowly racked over time, and finally bottled after approximately 24 months. A benchmark wine with great personality.
