Kookaburra Creek Retreat is located ten kilometres north of Melrose in the Southern Flinders' Ranges, 274 kilometres or three hours drive from Adelaide. It is privately owned and family run, and is set on 80 acres of picturesque bushland with Mt Remarkable National Park on three sides. It is abundant in wildlife and has so much natural beauty to be discovered and explored. An opportunity to experience some time in a relaxed atmosphere.
We can accommodate up to 26 people in a full house situation, or 16 single people, or six to eight couples plus children. Larger groups if you bring caravans or tents.
A range of self-contained accommodation is available, with several dwellings to suit individuals, families or groups. The main area consists of a house, large undercover gathering/barbecue area, two storey stone building, loft bedroom, separate ablution facility with showers, toilets, laundry and disabled facilities. Two storey powered stone cubby house and stone cottage with ensuite. It is a bird watchers and nature lover's paradise. Perfect for work retreats, bushwalkers, school camps, youth camps and scouts. The Wilmington to Melrose Rail Trail bike track passes the property, giving a pleasant easy ride into town.
