Allsuion Wines is located in the town of Yankalilla on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.
After falling in love with the Vineyard, the quirky cozy cellar door and the majestic views stretching over the vines all the way down to the sea, Tony Cassin and Trina Randall together with daughters Tilda and Arabella, purchased what they call, 'a small parcel of great things', in July 2007.
From a wine making perspective the land is gold. North facing slopes, with sand over clay, underpinned by a limestone base. Afternoon sea breezes cool the vineyard and vines in the hot summer months.
Public opinion from the locals, told Tony and Trina Allusion wines are exceptionally good. Now with the guidance from local vineyard owner, Mike Brista, they are forging forward with the philosophy, that meticulous attention to managing the land as owners, will give them greater control over the ultimate quality of the end product. Mike and Tony take care of the plot, every step of the way.
Tony and Trina believe in the hands on approach and are striving for sound environmental practices. They have a boutique focused ethos and believe small producers provide a different quality, to mass produced wine.
Together with wine maker Matt Rechner they are keen to maintain the diversity and locality of their charming drop and will continue to make interesting and appealing wines.
