Staff at the Penola Coonawarra Visitor Centre are able to assist you with up to date information and can also help with accommodation bookings.
The centre incorporates the John Riddoch Interpretive Centre, the Hydro-Carbon Centre and the winners of the John Shaw Neilson Acquisitive Art Prize, which is run every year in conjunction with the Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival.
The John Riddoch Interpretive Centre and local history display offers an insight into the history of Penola and the surrounding areas. The centre also gives information on the lives of some of the prominent people in Penola's history.
The Hydro-Carbon Centre offers interactive displays that are great for school aged children. There is a touch screen computer that teaches children the importance of looking after our environment. The centre also has displays on the mining of the local area.
