The Boar's Rock Lager is brewed by the owners of the Boar's Rock winery in McLaren Vale, South Australia.
At the end of the day, most winemakers secretly enjoy nothing quite so much as a good, long, cold, refreshing beer and that's how Boar's Rock Lager came to be.
Using the services of a small brewery to make the beer for them has provided a nice, crisp, thirst-crushing Bavarian-style lager.
While Boar's Rock Lager has plenty of flavour, it's not one of those heavy or overpowering brews. More the kind of beer you can happily tuck into before dinner because it won't fill you up or spoil the enjoyment of the wine that will surely follow.
Boar's Rock is available by mail-order or at a handful of restaurants on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula.
