Fox Creek Wines is located in the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia's fleurieu Peninsula.
Established in 1995, Fox Creek Wines has been a major contributor to the growth of the McLaren Vale region's reputation. Based on the vision of a surgeon and his anaesthetist, two vineyards were planted in 1984 on Biscay Clay soils which viticulturists considered as unsuitable for wine grape production. Now, the whole area between Fox Creek, the rolling Willunga Hills and the sea is covered with vines, partly based on Fox Creek's success as a producer of some of the best Shiraz in Australia.
Fox Creek is only 45 kilometres due South of Adelaide, South Australia, found between the villages of McLaren Vale and Willunga in the centre of the Vale. Visitors to Fox Creek are always welcome at the cosy cellar door cottage and quite often stay to picnic in the beautiful surrounding gardens. Regional Platters are available to enjoy with a glass or two of wine. While you are enjoying yourself your children can go on our new treasure hunt.
Visitors are also invited on a behind the scenes tour of the winery free of charge which is held at 10.20am every Monday and Friday (bookings required) or at other times by contacting the winery prior to the visit.
