Lloyd Brothers Wine is located in the McLaren Vale of South Australia Fleurieu Peninsula. With vineyards and orchards spread across the world famous McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills regions of South Australia, Lloyd Brothers prides itself on delivering regionally distinctive produce to be enjoyed by passionate cooks, professional chefs and wine lovers alike.

The Lloyd Brothers are third generation vignerons following in the footsteps of their grandparents who first planted vines in McLaren Vale during the 1960's. Half a century on David owns a vineyard and olive grove that sits high above the township of McLaren Vale and Matthew's vineyards are located in the cool climate Adelaide Hills.

David is the owner and operator of Lloyd Brothers Wine and Olive Company; his 30-acre Shiraz block provides all the fruit for the red wine range which includes the White Chalk Reserve Shiraz, McLaren Vale Shiraz and Hand Picked Rose. Premium parcels from Matthew's Lenswood vineyard are selected to make the Lloyd Brothers Bonvale Chardonnay, Late Picked Verdelho and Pinot Noir Verjuice.

Lloyd Brothers also produces table olives, olive oil, olive oil based beauty products and gourmet food products. The award winning olives are sourced from David's McLaren Vale property and include Verdale trees planted at the turn of the 20th century, and the oldest commercial Kalamata grove in Australia.

Whether in the vineyard or the olive grove the emphasis is always on quality at Lloyd Brothers. This is achieved through hand pruning and picking as well as a careful fruit selection process. Only the best is retained for the Lloyd Brothers range and all batches undergo a grading process to determine the final product destination.

Varietal and regional definition is at the cornerstone of the Lloyd Brothers philosophy and both the olive oil and the wines are single variety and single vineyard or grove. David sees varietal definition as pivotal to consumer education, which has been a focus of the company since its inception.

Noting a lack of understanding of the olive oil making process in the general population, David established an olive press showroom at the McLaren Vale property in 2007. The new olive oil press uses the latest in crushing technology and replaces the original mat pressing infrastructure.

Lloyd Brothers offer the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn more about the production of premium extra virgin olive oil and the finest Kalamata table olives in the country. The self-guided tour allows curious food lovers to walk the historic groves, find out more about the pressing process and discover how table olives are made.

Producing wine, olive oil and food of the highest quality to be enjoyed by passionate cooks, professional chefs and wine lovers will always be the driving force behind Lloyd Brothers Wine and Olive Company.

You can also visit their Adelaide Hills vineyard.
