Foxhunters Return provides elegant bed and breakfast accommodation in Campbell Town, Tasmania's historic heart. Built by convicts in the 1830s, it is an ideal base to explore Tasmania.
Choose from delightfully decorated rooms with en suites, or a fully self-contained cottage. There are four rooms appointed with queen or double beds ideal for couples. One has the original bread-making oven façade and another has a separate lounge. The third enjoys lovely morning sun and the other overlooks Elizabeth River. The remaining three rooms have capacity for three or four guests with commanding views of the courtyard and Western Tiers mountain range. The self-contained cottage is appointed with two queen-size beds and two single beds. It has a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living area.
Plan a day trip to Launceston, Hobart, inland lakes or the east coast. Fox Hunters Return was originally established as a coaching inn. Learn about the history of the building and stables. Enjoy a Devonshire Tea served in the heritage dining room or relax in the peaceful courtyard. Try your luck fly fishing at a highland lake or simply wander the historic streets of the town.
Campbell town is about 45-minutes' drive from Launceston (70 kilometres/43 miles).
