Nocton Vineyard is located in Richmond in the Coal River Valley wine region of Southern Tasmania, about 20 minutes scenic drive from Hobart. The long warm sunny autumns contribute to the area being recognised as a premium quality grape and wine producing area. Wines from the valley continue to win trophies and medals in every major wine show in the country.

The 34ha Nocton Vineyard, in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, was planted in 1999 on gentle, north-east facing slopes of dolerite-based soils over a free-draining calcareous and Triassic sandstone subsoil. As in Burgundy, home to the great pinot and chardonnay vineyards of France, limestone runs through the valley and was mined in the early days. It is the combination of these soils and substrata that imparts the great depth of colour and much of the character and texture typically displayed in the Nocton Vineyard wines.

All Nocton Vineyard wines are crafted by their selected winemaker from quality grapes grown at the vineyard.

Pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir and merlot are sold domestically and exported under the Nocton Vineyard label.
