Puddleduck Vineyard is a small family owned vineyard situated at Richmond in the Coal River Valley near Hobart in Southern Tasmania.
Puddleduck Vineyard opened their new tasting room in July 2005 so that all wine loving visitors to the cellar door enjoy the warm, friendly and educational experience.
Owners Darren and Jackie Brown bought land in the Coal River Valley in 1996 and planted grape vines with the vision of establishing their own label and cellar door. That dream is now a reality and the Browns wish to extend a warm welcome to visitors to their cellar door.
Enjoy a sit-down tasting of Puddleduck's current releases and local cheeses while watching the ducks puddling on the dam, or bring a picnic lunch to have on the veranda with a glass of medal winning wine. If time is pressing a tasting at the solid Huon Pine bar might be more to your liking.
Puddleduck Vineyard currently produce Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Bubbleduck Sparkling, Chardonnay, Rose, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. – Wines are hand crafted using the traditional methods of hand harvesting and cane pruning as we know that good wine is made in the vineyard.
