Kate's Berry Farm, just near Swansea, is one of Tasmania's treasures. From spring (November) to Autumn (April) you can buy fresh raspberries and strawberries picked that day from Kate's garden. The Farm sits high above the coastline looking out across Great Oyster Bay to The Hazards range. At any time of the year you can buy luscious creamy ice cream, jams and even wine made from the berries. Kate produces strawberry dry table wine and a strawberry-riesling blend. Kate designed and built her cellar door shop and workshop, works the gardens and volunteers for the local safety patrol, but she is always ready to chat with visitors about her farm and what it means to her.
