Follow in the Footsteps of Baudin and Freycinet and discover the delights of Tasmania's East Coast and join in the celebration of our rich natural history, magnificent natural beauty, abundant marine life, delicious fresh seafood and award winning wines.
This season whales returned to Great Oyster Bay to calve for the first time in over 200 years. What better way to herald the 2010 From France to Freycinet Festival, with its theme of the East Coast fauna, especially the marine animals.
In 2010 the Festival will celebrate the rich marine life of the region seen through the eyes of Francois Peron, the zoologist and anthropologist who accompanied Nicholas Baudin's expedition to the East Coast of Tasmania in 1802.
Come along in your red, white and blue for a weekend of great fun and Freycinet Coast history, hospitality and perhaps even spot a whale or two!
