Aptly named Pigeon Hole is a tiny hole in the wall cafe with excellent coffee and a small but interesting menu. Quirky rather than trendy decor, extremely friendly service and a menu that is simple yet driven by high quality produce and the best local ingredients mean this little cafe is quite different but well worth a visit.
Almost everything is made in house. The bread is some of the best in town which means you need to get in early if you want to take some home. The small cakes, biscuits and friands are addictive!
The breakfast menu is not your usual fare. Instead, try the slow cooked beans, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. For lunch the panini are outstanding with fillings such as Italian meatballs with passata and parmesan. The soup of the day is always something interesting and never disappointing like a beautifully slow cooked tomato, white bean and garlic soup.
