The MONA Pavilions are five star luxury accommodation and consist of eight self-contained pavilions perched high above the Derwent River.
Built with relaxation and comfort in mind, the pavilions feature king-size beds, one-and-two-bedroom configurations, a stunning granite spa (some overlooking the River) and glass bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the sunrise from a private balcony while savouring a sumptuous breakfast made from gourmet provisions left in your kitchen, or you can have a decadent cooked breakfast in The Source Restaurant.
Each pavilion has a temperature controlled cellar stocked with Moorilla wines and the infamous Moo Brew - four beer styles brewed at the on-site micro brewery. They feature ancient and contemporary art (and bits in between). Charles, Arthur, Sidney and Brett also have an original painting by its eponymous artist. Roy, Robin, Esmond and Walter feature video art from the MONA Collection along with commissioned works by Jenny Turner, Mikala Dwyer and Sally Smart.
A travel option is via 'The Excella', a fast catamaran that travels to MONA/Moorilla daily and returns to Hobart Constitution Dock.
MONA Museum opened in January 2011.
