The Wrest Point Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards are one of Tasmania's key events in the culinary calendar. The event is organised by The Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania (RAST) to promote excellence in the production of different food types.
Held each August, entries have grown continuously since 1996. Entries for the Awards come from all over Australia, and include well known makers and producers as well as cottage craft producers, whose recognition through the Awards helps to build business, and sales and marketing opportunities.
