Monty's on Montpelier is located in Battery Point, a short walk from the famous Sullivan's Cove district in Southern Tasmania.
Monty's offers a an elegant style of contemporary Tasmanian cuisine, sourcing the best of Tasmania's foodie fare to produce a perfect menu featuring local (rare breed) Wessex pork, Coal River Valley venison to name a few, and a cheese selection second to none.
Monty's menu is truly seasonal, changes monthly and is prefaced as "good mood food." Cheeses are a speciality - both local Tasmanian and European.
Monty's on Montpelier's wine list includes familiar favourites but also lists some lesser known gems sourced directly from wineries such as Milton, Woody Nook, Lancaster and Te-Aro Estate.
To cap off the wonderful gourmet experience, Monty's is located in beautiful circa 1890's 'Bordello', with separate dining spaces and open fires - great in winter!
