41 South Salmon Farm is located at Deloraine, a short drive from Launceston, in North West Tasmania. Apart from it's fantastic wilderness trails and easy access to native flora and fauna, there is of course, the mouthwatering salmon.
41 South Salmon Farm offers hot, slowly smoked salmon "creating a moist flaky texture, combined with an exceptionally delicate smoked flavour and an after taste on the palate that will be memorable."
41 South Salmon and Aquaculture offers self-guided walks along the Western Rivulet passing through a diverse array of vegetation from wetland grasses to woodland areas. Learn how a wetland acts as a natural bio-filter. Self guided tour combines viewing the fish farm, flora and fauna plus learning about the ways in which they interact with this unique ecosystem.
The key attractions are the fish farm itself, ginseng plantation, fish feeding, walks through a natural and man-made wetland with dragonflies, frogs, birds, fish, platypus and nature trails to the base of our waterfall.
Enjoy a free tasting of hot-smoked salmon products. Relax on the deck. Coffee, soft drinks and freshly made light meals are also on offer.
