The Tasmanian Aero Club is located at Launceston Airport and provides scenic flights around Tasmania.
Scenic flights include Launceston's city sights, the Tamar Valley, Flinders Island, magnificent Cradle Mountain, Lake Pedder in Tasmania's Wilderness World Heritage Area, Strahan, and the central highlands region. The club offers charter flights across Tasmania in single and twin engine aircrafts. Flight durations vary from 30-minutes to six hours.
You may wish to visit Flinders Island or King Island, take aerial photographs or simply enjoy a scenic flight. Talk with the Tasmanian Aero Club about specific requests and the club may be able to charter special flights. Centrally located in Launceston, the club has access to many different flying environments within short flying time. You can experience high altitude strips, rugged mountain flying and picturesque coastal flights within a short distance from the Launceston airport. The club also welcomes existing pilots and those wanting to learn how to fly with training available.
The Launceston Airport islocated about 15-minutes' drive from Launceston's central business district (15 kilometres/9 miles).
