The Josef Chromy Cellar Door Cafe and Winery is located at Relbia, northern Tasmania. Relbia is a 15-minute drive south of Launceston (10 kilometres), a short distance from the Launceston airport.
Josef Chromy Wines' 61 hectare (150 acre) vineyard, Glenwood, produces a number of varieties of highly sought-after grapes. Wines include pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, riesling, pinot gris and gewurztraminer. A vintage sparkling and botrytis riesling round out the range, and everything is estate-grown.
The Josef Chromy Cellar Door Cafe, located in the estate's original homestead, is surrounded by landscaped gardens. Warm yourself by the open log fire and take in the views over the vineyard, winery and lake. Here, you can taste fine cool climate wines and sample fresh Tasmanian produce.
Enjoy a light lunch or gourmet snack, taste rich Tasmanian cheeses or buy a fresh hamper from the delicatessen and dine alfresco in the grounds.
