Barton Vineyard, Tasmania - Pinot Noir & Riesling

Barton Vineyards was the first vineyard established in the Midlands of Tasmania and now produces fine riesling and pinot noir wines

Growing vines in the Midlands of Tasmania which experiences very cold winters and long summer days seemed the perfect recipe for good wine and Frank and Milly Youl wondered why no one else had tried. Years of hard work and persistence have paid off with their Barton Riesling and Pinot Noir wines.

2008 PINOT NOIR

Ruby red in colour. Aromas reminiscent of cherry/strawberry with some spice characters evident as a result of 12 months maturation in French oak barrels. The palate is soft, fine silky tannins and balanced acidity. A wonderful drop, enjoy now.

2008 RIESLING

The nose is a myriad of citrus and perfumed fruit. The palate is full and lively and shows a multi layered mix of the fruit aromas with a lengthy crisp acid fiinish. Pale gold in colour. Enjoy now.
