Palana Retreat is Flinders Island's northernmost luxury accommodation offering modern two-storey accommodation with superb views.
The two-bedroom accommodation overlooks Blyth Bay, Pratts River, Inner Sister and Outer Sister Islands. The house is totally timber lined and has timber flooring. Cathedral ceilings dominate the downstairs living area. Enjoy a spa, an open fire and luxury amenities. There is a car available for guests also.
A two minute walk will take you to Palana Beach. Explore the coastal beaches as well as the picturesque North East River. Take a four-wheel-drive tour or charter a boat and try your hand at deep-sea fishing. If bushwalking is of interest, the Strzelecki National Park in the south-western corner of Flinders Island has a range of bushwalks for all fitness levels. Visit the Furneaux Museum and learn about the unique history of the region. You may even be tempted to hire a sieve and shovel and go searching for Killiecrankie diamonds, a type of colourless topaz. At the end of the day relax in the comfort of your luxury accommodation with a glass of wine.
Flinders Island is a 45-minute flight from Launceston or Melbourne.
