The Tamar Valley Wine Route is a wine touring experience connecting over 30 vineyards in the Tamar Valley, near Launceston in Tasmania. Using an easy to follow map and road signage, visitors can explore the cellar doors and vineyards at their leisure.

The Tamar Valley Wine Route follows the majestic Tamar River as it meanders for 58 kilometres through the heart of high-yielding vineyard country, orchards, scenic pastures and forests from city to the shores of Bass Strait. The wine route is easy to travel by car, or if you prefer, take a guided half- or full-day tour. On your way you will discover many quaint riverside villages that feature arts and crafts from the local area. Enjoy a picnic beneath the elegant Batman Bridge; the world's first cable-stayed truss bridge, or simply relax at one of the beautiful restaurants and indulge your senses with the local cuisine and a glass of cool-climate wine.

The Tamar Valley is a true cool climate wine region and produces some of Australia's finest Sparkling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. With a mix of medium size producers and tiny, family operated vineyards, visitors can experience cool climate wines at their best.

The vineyards include along the route include Jinglers Creek, Josef Chromy Wines, Bundaleera Vineyard, Sharmans, Bass Fine Wine, Providence Vineyards, Leaning Church, Clover Hill and Lalla Gully, Brook Eden Vineyard, The Jansz Wine Room, Pipers Brook Vineyard, Dalrymple Estate, Sinapius, Delamere Vineyard, Bay of Fires Winery, Three Wishes, Iron Pot Bay Wines, Holm Oak Vineyards, Waterton Vineyards, Tamar Ridge Vineyard, Goaty Hill Wines, Moores Hill Estate, Stoney Rise Vineyard, Grey Sands Vineyard, Rosevears Vineyard,Rotherhythe Vineyard,Ninth Island Vineyard,Elmslie Wines,Humbug Ridge and Velo Vineyard

Simply fill up a carton and any winery on the route will arrange for the wines to be sent home, just for the cost of the freight.
