Holm Oak Vineyards and Winery is located at Rowella in the picturesque Tamar Valley wine region along the banks of the Tamar River, Northern Tasmania, north of Launceston.

Situated somewhat off the beaten track their cellar door exudes an irresistible rustic charm. The Holm Oak property is adorned with fabulous old English trees, and their cellar door is situated in the original vertical board winery.

From the minute you pull in the driveway and head into the estate you feel like you have uncovered your own secret winery.

Greeted by a view surrounding the Cellar Door of breathtaking vineyards and orchards you can wander down the path to visit Pinot d’ Pig and feed him a few apples before reaching Cellar Door for an informative and relaxed tasting.

They offer an extensive range of wines at cellar door, with at least nine of wines being available for tasting on any given day. Holm Oak cater for all tastes, so have both dry and sweet wines, light and full bodied reds and serious and fun wines. They also have cider available for tasting and sale.

At cellar door you will also find a range of local cheese, terrines and salmon products to create your own platter or picnic. There are some great locations surrounding the cellar door for a picnic - the lovely secluded courtyard, the entrance lake or new deck (from November 2015), or enjoy your platter in the cellar door overlooking beautiful vineyards and country side.

As they have a 100% hands on philosophy, when you arrive at our cellar door you will get a sense of being in the middle of a busy working winery. During vintage (March – April) you may also be able to see our grapes being processed in the winery.

The Holm Oak cellar door forms part of the well known Tamar Valley Wine Route
