Three Willows Vineyard is located in Red Hills near Deloraine in Northern Tasmania. Accomodation on site available.
Three Willows Vineyard is ideally situated for cool climate viticulture at lat. 41º S, elevation 200-250m, on a gentle north-facing slope with free draining 'terra rosa' basalt soil rich in ironstone. Typically, most of the rainfall occurs in late winter and spring followed by a dry summer and autumn – perfect for premium quality fruit.
The first vines were planted in spring 2002, with Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris being the main varieties, followed by plantings of the rare French hybrid Baco Noir in 2005.
