Activities include subsidised train rides on the West Coast Wilderness Railway, films at the art deco Paragon Theatre, helicopter rides over Mt Lyell and Gormanston, a football match on the iconic gravel football oval, tours of the National Trust-owned Mt Lyell Office and Penghana House, tours of the historic Lake Margaret Power Station, a major exhibition at Raymond Arnold's LARQ studio, a Festivals Australia-funded community film project, and a Gala Ball as the feature celebratory event. This much anticipated festival promises to be the highlight of Queenstown's autumn season.
