Rock music fans from around the country are set to descend on Ballarat for a world premiere exhibition of photographs and memorabilia of legendary English rock band Queen, running from 20 February – 11 April 2010.
Queen – the Unseen Archive will feature unseen images of the group taken by close friend and roadie Peter Hince, providing personal insight into one of the world’s greatest rock bands.
Hince was head of Queen’s road crew for two decades, with full access to all areas of Queen’s life both on stage and off.
As well as the incredible photo collection, the exhibition features rare items of personal and tour memorabilia, including Freddie Mercury’s glamorous stage costumes, hand-written lyrics and original posters, passes and tickets.
The Art Gallery of Ballarat will be the only place in Australia to exhibit this amazing collection.
Tickets to the exhibition will be $15 adult or $10 concession. For more information or to purchase tickets go to www.artgalleryballarat.com.au.
