The Central Geelong Farmers Market has been operating in Central Geelong since October 2003. Located in the heart of Central Geelong the market operates from 8.30am – 12.30pm the second Saturday of every month in Lt. Malop Street Central between Moorabool and Yarra Streets. The market aims to provide local and regional growers and producers with a unique venue to sell their produce and products and offers an attraction to the general public. Each month between 2,500 and 4,000 people come into Central Geelong to enjoy all the market has to offer.
A seasonal cooking school operates at the market, where produce from stallholders is used by the market chef, showcasing and demonstrating how the produce may be used.
The market offers live entertainment and a miniature animal farm at no cost to visitors.
The Central Geelong Farmers' Market is an initiative of Central Geelong Marketing.
