Australian Music Events is pleased to announce the return of Yvonne Kenny AM, one of the most distinguished sopranos of her generation with internationally-acclaimed tenor and Opera Australia star Rosario La Spina. They will be joined by 100 voices and 35-piece Alpha Sinfonia led by one of Australia's most entertaining conductors, Guy Noble.
The evening will also showcase the talented Opera Scholars Australia. Staged on the picturesque grounds of La Trobe at Beechworth, Opera in the Alps is a magical evening of classical favourites now established as one of regional Victoria's cultural highlights.
Fine regional food and wine will be sold through outlets prior to the concert commencing. For something different, the Premium Package is the perfect way to experience Opera in the Alps and we welcome patrons to indulge in the two-course pre-concert dinner accompanied by fine wines from Campbells Wines. The dinner takes place on the lawns of the Pines Convention Centre which commands a breathtaking view of the concert setting. Dessert will be served at interval.
