The Kookaburra started its humble life as a small weatherboard cafe in Halls Gap, in Victoria's Grampians.
In 1979 new owners Rick and Vonne Heinrich undertook its transformation into the Kookaburra Restaurant.
Twenty-seven years later it still a testament to Rick and Vonne who have dedicated their lives to tantalising the tastebuds of their customers.
Thousands of international, domestic and local visitors have come to enjoy the unique Kookaburra experience.
