The first Earth Kids festival is to be held in Koonwarra during the September school holidays.
Earth Kids aims to explore, promote and educate parents and carers in practical ways to sustainably manage the needs of babies and children of all ages through their growing years.
Children will be made aware of the earth in a fun way through activities, interactive talks and presentations by adults who demonstrate and practise sustainability through their attitude, actions and behaviour.
Koonwarra businesses will support the event by demonstrating methods of sustainable living, for example by using paper bags, not plastic, and providing educational classes that encourage sustainable methods.
