Cats lick their wounds, Saints have marched out

Some of the VisitVineyards.com team take more than a passing interest in the footy. One or two are ecstatic, the others are skulking around like wet cats. So when the Saints bit the dust, where did they go to recover and rebuild for next season? And can the Cats join them, please?

St Kilda has more than its fair share of funky little food shops - drown your sorrows with cakes and coffee on Acland St, anyone? When you stay in St Kilda, check out a few of the accomodations below. Some even have great restaurants.... but we're too miserable after the Saints' loss - compounded by the Cat's inability to kick straight - to think about food. Off to the bar at The Prince. Circa will have to wait.

Maybe that Tasmanian logo on the Hawks' guernseys was worth it, after all. Drink up some of Tassy's finest fizz, guys, you've earned it. We recommend Milton 2005 Pinot Noir Chardonnay; dry, creamy, smooth, a real find.
