Tasting Notes - Prosecco Road (Vic)
Wines from King Valley
The King Valley is reminiscent of northern Italy with its vineyards on picturesque hills and a typical Italian welcoming culture. Lovers of prosecco, a delicious sparkling white wine, can now follow a new wine and food trail down King Valley's Prosecco Road.
Otto Dal Zotto started things in 2000 when he planted the first vines, reminding him of his childhood in Valdobbiadene, the birthplace of prosecco.
Soon after other local wine-growers followed his lead and the King Valley, or more precisely Prosecco Road, is now renowned for this fresh and crisp sparkling white wine.
Prosecco lovers, these are for you:

The palate reveals the complete story, with generous mouth filling bubbles on entry, zesty citrus fruit on the mid palate, and inviting blanched almonds on the dry and chalky finish; beautifully constructed and a fitting tribute to Otto's heritage.
