'Witchmount is an oasis on the broad plains to Melbourne's north-west. Avanti Restaurant welcomes you with traditional Italian cuisine that's tailored carefully to seasonal produce, and functions are a speciality. The winery's cutting-edge design makes a striking impression and encloses the cellar door area, where an outstanding range of wines, especially reds, are on show across a broad range of prices. Witchmount Estate now famous for its world beating Shiraz also has an extensive range of award winning whites and reds available for tasting daily. Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Barbera, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz are all grown on site and available at reasonable prices.
Aware of the environment, only recycled water is used in the vineyard. Planted on rich red volcanic soils this is one of the best sites the region has to offer. The Tasting room is located in the new purpose built, state of the art winery. Groups and tours most welcome.
