When you visit the Garden of St Erth, near Macedon, Victoria, you now have the added incentive of visiting one of the region's best locations for lunch at the same time! St Erth Café is open for morning and afternoon tea as well as scrumptious lunches.
With the same fresh food focus as sister property Heronswood in Dromana, chef Ian Shankly specializes in cooking using garden harvested and local ingredients.
The ever changing menu may include a freshly baked pumpkin, fetta & spinach tart ($12), a tasting plate with Istra sausages, local potatoes & fresh garden greens ($19.50) or a local trout and warm potato salad ($14). Desserts may include any of Ian's freshly baked cakes or maybe organic raspberries with freshly whipped cream.
Local producers including Istra and Fernleigh Farm feature heavily as well as a myriad of others.
