Metcalfe Valley Wines is located in Victoria, North of Kyneton, near the border of the Macedon Ranges and Heathcote regions, In Victoria's Spa Country and Daylesford area, in Melbourne Surrounds.
Metcalfe Valley vineyard is an established operation producing premium quality wines, Yellow leaves which have been awarded gold and silver medal status for the 2001 and 2004 vintages at the well regarded Daylesford Wine Show.
Metcalfe Valley Shiraz has performed consistently at the Macedon Ranges Vignerons' Wine Exhibition and the 2003 and 2004 Shiraz have won the gold medal and trophy for the best non-pinot red.
The sheltered cool environment with sufficient water and warmth enables slow and complete ripening of the Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The grapes have distinct characteristics from the terroir, which provides a strong point of differentiation over other Shiraz wines.
Vineyard quality production and hand crafted, traditional wine making are the foundations used in the pursuit and achievement of premium quality wine.
