Great Wine Capitals Global Network
The Global Network of Great Wine Capitals, which embraces Melbourne, Bordeaux, San Francisco - Napa Valley, Porto, Cape Town, Bilbao-Rioja, Florence and Mendoza, works to encourage international wine travel and winery tourism, as well as economic, academic and cultural exchanges between these famous capitals of wine.
The Network is made up of eight major cities located in internationally renowned wine-producing areas throughout the world. The website gives information on each of the member cities, with links to essential organisations in wine, travel, education and business.
This site provides information on grape growing in each of these great wine cities, highlights many travel and tourism opportunities, details various institutions for training and education in winemaking, and facilitates the growing of business networks.
