
Inaugural Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Event at the historic Vue Grand, Queenscliff.

Tickets are on sale now for A Taste of Classic Queenscliff lunch to be held on Sunday 14th March 2010 as part of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (12 - 23 March 2010).
Diners will revel in the slow-dining experience showcasing premier produce, beer and wine from the Bellarine Region. The progressive lunch will also entail a historic journey of the iconic Vue Grand Hotel whilst enjoying a variety of areas in the building - from the breathtaking water views of the rooftop bar to the unmistakable original stain-glass windows of the conservatory and more.
Vue Grand, Food and Beverage Manager Caleb Fleet says the event provides the perfect opportunity for he and Executive Chef Mark Pilgrim to create an innovative menu matching the locally sourced food with the sensational local beer and wines available.
"We want our guests to enjoy fresh and exciting flavours starting with seafood and sparkling wine on the rooftop bar to canapés in the Conservatory and finishing off with a banquet style seated lunch in our Dining Room."
An exciting new addition to the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the event promises to leave guests wanting to experience more of what the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula has to offer. Working in partnership with Bellarine Tourism the event aims to promote the newly formed Bellarine Taste Trail encompassing producers, growers, restaurants and accommodation providers in the region.
