The 17th Annual Pride March will be held in February 2012. You will need to assemble from noon, on the corner of Fitzroy Street and Lakeside Drive. The March down Fitzroy Street will culminate in an open air celebration in Catani Gardens
Under the InterPride theme of Pride Links Us Together, this year's 17th anniversary celebrations in Catani Gardens will feature: the Skinovate Karaoke stage and bar; the Gaydar.com.au Main Stage and bar and the MCV Community Village and entertainment stage.
Pride march Victoria is very proud to recognise the involvement of the Victoria Police lead by the Chief Commissioner of Police, Mr. Simon Overland. Commissioner Overland will also be one of the speakers on the stage at Catani Gardens along with the Mayor of the City of Port Phillip, Cr Rachel Powning, the Leader of the Opposition Daniel Andrews MP and the President of Pride March Victoria, Brett Hayhoe. This year the March will also showcase the King and Queen of Pride.
They encourage all participants to dress their entries to the 2012 International Theme. All up to date details - including our March registration form - are available for download on the Pride March Victoria website.
Pride March Victoria is a free event which recognises and celebrates the people and events that inspire the courage, solidarity, pride, diversity and strong sense of community of Victoria's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex people and those who support them. Pride March Victoria is a proud member of Interpride. Please note this year Pride March Victoria's celebrations in Catani Gardens is a no BYO event.
