Bannockburn Vineyard is situated north of Geelong near Bannockburn in the heart of the Moorabool Valley in the geelong wine district of Southern Victoria.
Bannockburn Vineyards was established by Stuart Hooper in 1974 with a 3 hectare planting of shiraz vines. Now encompassing three vineyards on separate sites, each with its own meso-climate, with plantings of chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, covering some 25 hectares Bannockburn has become one of the most highly regarded small winemaking estates in Australia.
" At Bannockburn what we are about is making wine that does not reflect market fashion or trends. We have no desire to follow anyone. What we are endeavouring to make is wine that accurately and sympathetically reflects our unique terrain." (Michael Glover, winemaker)
