The del Rios vineyard and winery is located on the western slopes of Mt Anakie in the Geelong region of Victoria, Australia and offers distinctive premium cool climate wines.
It is part of the Moorabool valley sub-region of Geelong, which is experiencing a period of rediscovery. Over 70 percent of the early vineyards planted in the Geelong region in the 19th century were in this area, which ranges from Bannockburn and Lethbridge to Anakie and the area experiences a “continental” climate with low rainfall producing fruit with a rich concentration of flavour, aroma and colour.
The del Rios story started in Anakie in 1994. The vines are hand-pruned and trained, the fruit hand picked, and the wines handcrafted solely from estate grown fruit with the aim of producing super premium wines.
Del Rios of Mt Anakie has a cellar door, provides tastings and sales of many award-winning wines. Back vintages are available only at cellar door, and in limitedquantities.
Del Rios offers light lunches, tapas or cheese platters to accompany wine tastings for group bookings (maximum 30 people). Please book in advance.
