Hat Rock Vineyard is located at picturesque Portarlington along the Bellarine Peninsula wine trail, east of Geelong in Southern Victoria . It is one of a select group of vineyards that have been established on north facing slopes overlooking Corio Bay. The first vines were planted in 2000.
Hat Rock specialises in the production of small batch, hand crafted Pinot Noir and soon, will also produce Chardonnay. The wine making processes reflect the combination of vineyard factors in order that distinctive wines can be produced. Hat Rock Winery employs traditional burgundian wine making methods so minimising handling and intervention in the wine making processes.
