Louis de Castella Wines is located in Heathcote, in Victoria Goldfields, in Melbourne Surrounds.
Louis de Castella's family has a history of crafting fine wines which began in the 1860's in the Yarra Valley. Today Louis continues that tradition and his love of that tradition is evident in the fine wines he creates.
The Heathcote Shiraz vintages are fine examples of the great wines now coming from this splendid region. Recent releases are the 2006 Heathcote Shiraz and the 2006 Estate Shiraz which has bio-dynamic certification.
You can visit the cellar door, an intriguing straw bale building, and enjoy wine tasting, delicious healthy organic lunches, tea or coffee and homemade cakes and scones.
There is also an interesting range of organic-biodynamic wines, beers and other produce such as jams, chocolates, coffee and local olive oils available for sale.
