Michael Unwin learnt the art of winemaking around the world with some of the most influential and forward thinking wine makers of our time. When the time came to settle down to create his own wines, he built his winery at Beaufort, because this is the geographical centre of one of the best viticultural areas in Western Victoria.
The winery is well known for the consistently high calibre wines across a broad range of styles and price. The wine buying fraternity love the no nonsense approach and enjoy tasting and buying their wines from inside the actual winemaking cellar in Beaufort.
Michael Unwin Wines is located in Beaufort, on the Western Highway, approximately one and a half hours from Melbourne and only 30 minutes from Ballarat. The winery is on the Western Highway on the corner of Racecourse Road, on the right hand side after entering the 60 km zone from the Melbourne/Ballarat side.
