Rupert's Ridge winery and vineyard in the Heathcote region of Victoria Goldfields (in Melbourne Surrounds), reported to have been destroyed by the bushfires of February 7th 2009, are now confirmed as surviving. The house was lost but the shed which is to be the cellar door has escaped.
This 2009 vintage is gone but the vineyards have also survived and thanks to community help with the fire, should produce again next year.
