Victoria's first vineyard, Yering Station, is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley only one hours drive from Melbourne in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges.
Victoria's first vineyard, Yering Station, was originally planted in 1838. This historical wine estate was purchased by the Rathbone family in 1996, marking the beginning of a new era, with the construction of a state-of-the-art winery and award-winning wine tourism destination.
Yering Station is renowned for producing award-winning wines of world-class quality and distinction.
Lead by Chief Winemaker Tom Carson, Yering Station was honoured with the prestigious Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, 2004.
As a family-owned winery, Yering Station has been recognised for its commitment to excellence, recently being inducted into the Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame for Best Tourism Winery, 2005.

It's now a over week since embers borne by strong winds hit the Yarra Valley and surrounding parts of Victoria. Australia has been in shock ever since. The Yarra Valley Grape Grazing Festival previously scheduled for 14-15th February has been cancelled.
