Melbourne's Wine House education program offers both fantastic value for money and the unique luxury of tasting wines drawn from the highly regarded, extensive Wine House cellar.
Wine educator Gill Sykes has been running wine appreciation courses in Australia and the UK for the last six years. She has trained with the Wines and Sprits Education Trust to Diploma level and is also a qualified Sommelier. She has worked in the wine industry in many guises from sales and marketing for boutique wineries to regional promotion to wine tourism and wine writing. She has also been a manager in wine retail for the last four years which includes her current position as manager of the Wine House store alongside her role as an educator.
Courses include introduction to wine appreciation (3 or 5 weeks), intermediate wine appreciation (3 weeks), Wine House Certificate (7 weeks) and tailored tastings.
