The Red Hill Long Lunch, at Red Hill on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, is now an annual event.
The 8th Red Hill Long Lunch will be held on Friday 13th March 2009, again at Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens. This is one of around 27 lunches which are held on the same day throughout Victoria, and which are part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
The Red Hill Long lunch is a truly regional showcase – 6 Chefs and 12 wineries work together with Chisholm students and many volunteers to create a lunch to remember for 250 guests – a fine three course meal on one long table.
There is also a raffle on the day (with the prizes donated by our industry participants) to raise funds for the Stephanie Alexander foundation garden at Bittern Primary School.
This year's theme is cultural heritage, and organisers have selected the apple industry.
Bookings at The Long Table: (03) 5989 2326 - be early.
Tickets: $95 per persn.
