Browned on top and slightly bulging, with fresh chunky cut Granny Smith apples in a sweet pastry pie, is just one of the many home made goodies created by Fiona of Cakes by Design.
A former student of William Angliss and a background with a well known Brighton cake shop, Fiona now makes and bakes from her registered kitchen at Main Ridge on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
Supplying to local stores and markets with traditionally made goods such as meringues, shortbreads, Lumberjack and Hummingbird cakes and extremely fruity jams.
A favourite is to create and design cakes for weddings and all special occasions, ranging from croquembouche, mudcake, fruitcakes and any other desired flavour.
Also available are fresh field cut roses for use on cakes or bunches for every day. All these can be ordered directly with Fiona by phone or in person whilst viewing the roses at Orchard Cottage Roses.
