At Montalto we believe that wine and food should taste of itself, and be the best possible expression of the vintage or season. This 'estate to plate' philosophy runs through everything that we do.
Wine is produced for the most part from our 30 acres of estate vines. Our 1500 olive trees provide us with luscious olive oils, tapendade and cured olives.
Expansive kitchen gardens and fruit and nut orchard provide the freshest possible produce for the restaurant.
We also believe in enjoying wine with food and friends and so offer three different dining experiences: a la carte dining in our acclaimed Restaurant, casual dining in our Piazza and Garden Café and private, catered picnics at selected locations.
Of course, no trip to Montalto is complete without a visit to the intimate cellar door, where knowledgeable staff will introduce you to our range of wines.
A wander through the scultpures collection amongst the gardens, vines, olive trees and natural wetlands is a wonderful way to cap off a visit to Montalto, the Top Victorian Winery Destination according to the International Great Wine Capitals of the World network.
